Park CIty Get Away - Day 1

Well... As most of you know I love me some snowboarding  but my schedule hasn’t been very cooperative these past 2 years.  Well thanks to my good friend Stuart, we’re headed to Park City Utah for some much needed play time.

I’m the stereotypical last-minute packer so I was up late last night getting my gear back in order.  It’s been 2 years since I’ve boarded so I had to brush off the dust, clean up my new board that I bought while at Whistler and wait for the the rest of the layers to get done in the dryer.  Picture me in in just my underwear and a new pair of snowboard boots at 1 AM walking around the house... yeah, I agree, not so pretty.  I just picked them up last night to replace the Burton’s that hit the 6 year mark as of last year.  I wanted to break them in as much as possible since we’ll actually be hitting the slopes right after we get off the plane.  I’m extra-stoked for this trip because I have never been to Utah and I’ve heard it’s some of the best snow in the world.  Park City has received 24” of fresh snow in the past 48 hours and more is in the forecast. I am sitting in the Delta Crown Lounge tapping the keys with same excitement as a 6 year old on Christmas eve.  And when I found out that they actually offer “Fast Passes” to beat the lift lines I almost peed myself... actually, I did pee myself.

I am accompanied by my partner in crime, Mr. Bill Needham and great friend Stuart Henderson, who’s house we’ll be staying at.  It is also the week before the Sundance Film Festival and from what Stuart says, all the celebs are here hitting the slopes... so look for us on Perez Hilton’s website. LOL!

On another, more professional note, Stuart and I will be blogging daily over at about the many efforts of Park City to be the “greenest ski resort in America”. Please check the site regularly for updates!

I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated my personal blog here, but I will be on here daily... at least while I travel for the next 5 days.

Thanks for stopping by and spending some time reading my nonsense!
